A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Blessing Onuh, who is the daughter of African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Chairman, Senator David Mark, has joined the leadership of a pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu campaign organisation ahead of the 2027 general election.
Her move comes at a sensitive political moment and has stirred fresh conversations about loyalty, public perception and internal unity within the ADC as political alignments begin to shift ahead of the next presidential race.
Onuh was appointed National Woman Leader of the Take Action Campaign Organisation.
Her appointment was announced on Saturday by the group’s Director General, Tony Nwulu, a former member of the House of Representatives and sponsor of the “Not Too Young To Run” bill in the 8th National Assembly.
Nwulu presented her appointment letter at the organisation’s campaign office in Abuja.
Speaking after the announcement, Onuh pledged her commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election effort.
“I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure President Tinubu’s victory at the upcoming election,” she said.
She added that the campaign group was established to promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration and educate Nigerians on the President’s reforms and policies.
“This organisation is focused on showcasing the various achievements and educating the Nigerian masses on the reforms and policies of Mr President,” she said.
Her appointment is seen as politically significant, coming at a time when her father, Senator David Mark, remains one of the leading figures in the opposition coalition being coordinated under the ADC platform.
Mark, who currently chairs the party, has been linked with ongoing efforts to build a broad alliance capable of challenging Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The coalition includes several prominent political figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Aminu Tambuwal, Liyel Imoke and Emeka Ihedioha.
