The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has disclosed that any individual or group desirous of working for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu must team up with the leadership of the party in the state.
This is as the party warned members secretly working against the interest of the party to desist forthwith, reminding them of the consequences of such acts.
The state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, stated this at the party’s stakeholders meeting held at the state secretariat in Osogbo on Monday.
A statement by the APC spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, a copy made available to OSUN DEFENDER, said the chairman warned that the party would not allow any parallel approach to the planned coordinated efforts geared towards ensuring the re-election of the President in the January 2027 presidential election.
Lawal said the State Working Committee would work in tandem with the highest ruling body of the party in the state, Agba Osun, to achieve the targeted objective.
“Any individual or group of people who are desirous to work for the re-election of President Tinubu should team up with the leadership of the party in the state, stating that the party would not allow any parallel approach to the planned co-ordinated efforts of ensuring the re-election of the President in the forthcoming presidential election.
“Members of the party who are secretly working against the interest of the party should desist from doing so henceforth,” the APC chairman stated.
He appealed to all stakeholders, members and supporters to put the outcome of the August 15, 2026 governorship election behind them and take a fresh resolve for the re-election of President Tinubu.
Lawal expressed gratitude to stakeholders for garnering over 444,000 votes for the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, during the last governorship poll.
He disclosed that the party has perfected plans to inaugurate an effective and all-embracing campaign committee for the re-election of the President.
